I plan on giving some details about the RPG I am creating (currently named My RPG) spread out over several posts. This way you will get an idea of what type of game it is.

Rules vs. Worlds

In my 25+ years as a Game Master (GM) I have learned that it is possible to take any rule system and make it work with some modification. To me the most important part of a game is not the rules but the game world. I am not saying rules are not important at all, but I am saying rules are not nearly as important as the game world.

For that reason, I am planning on creating several different game worlds which will all use My RPG as a base. I do plan on making all my game worlds available for others to add new material too. There will be at least one pure Sci-Fi, one pure Fantasy and one pure Post Holocaust game world created but there are also several game worlds planned which are a combination of two (or more) genres. My RPG will also be custom tailored for each individual game world that is published.

While a lot of work has been done on My RPG it is still a long way from being finished. There will be a lot of other products released before My RPG is published.
