“Now that’s what I call teamwork. Not ours, but the opponents. As soon as we walked into the room one of the biggest Orcs I have ever seen in my life stood up on our right and bellowed a war cry. The entire party quickly formed a line in front of the Orc for the battle. Just after the battle started we found out the hard way that there were more Orcs in the room sitting on a bench concealed behind a curtain. That mistake cost us two of the party members at the back of the group just after the attack started. The large amount of recent blood on the floor was a clue we overlooked in our haste to get in some quick attacks. Next time we will use a little more caution instead of running headlong into combat.” Ardek the Dwarf.
This Dungeon Battle Tile features an entrance to the dungeon from an outside location. There is a stool (where the largest and toughest guard usually sits) in plain view of the door. A bench (where two to four normal sized guards sit) is concealed behind a curtain that runs the length of the top wall. The curtain is a thick fur originally taken from some unknown animal but the lair has painted crude images on it of themselves defeating a variety of opponents. A collector of unusual things would pay to get the curtain. There is also a large amount of recently spilled blood on the floor just inside the entrance. The guard on the stool usually stands and lets out a loud war cry as he draws his weapon and moves to block the passage on the first round. On the second round the guards concealed behind the curtain emerge to attack intruders from the rear.
