Dungeon Battle Tile 16 – Challenge 4

“Oh great! My least favorite thing to find in a dungeon, a deep pool of water. With my swimming skill and this armor I am wearing I will sink like a rock if I fall in. I am sure that large thing I can see swimming around in the pool would love that. Maybe if I wait until it is being distracted by the rest of the party going across one bridge I can sneak across the other bridge without it noticing.” Ardek the Dwarf’s thoughts as he surveys the newest room just encountered in the current dungeon.

This tile represents a challenge the party must overcome. It is a single room with a large pool in the middle which is crossed by two wooden bridges. There is some kind of large aquatic monster swimming in the pool (GM’s choice as to exactly what) that will probably try to make a meal of the party as they try to cross one of the bridges. How much weight each bridge can support, how deep the pool is and any treasure that might be located at the bottom of the pool is left up to the GM. The party can resort to combat, trickery, stealth or any other method to get across the pool.
